You can find us in Bosepukur, Kolkata. Our business is called Placements, which pretty much tells you what we do. We aren't a big agency with hundreds of employees; it’s just a small setup where we focus on helping people find jobs. Being in Bosepukur means we get a lot of locals coming in to ask about work. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist, we just have some desks and a couple of chairs for people to sit while they talk to us. Most of our day is spent looking at job boards or calling up employers to see if they have any openings. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We try to be honest with people about what’s available and what isn't. Some days are better than others, and sometimes we don't have much to offer, but we keep looking anyway. We don't use any polished marketing language or make big promises. We just tell it like it is. Kolkata is a tough market sometimes, so we just do our best to stay on top of things. We’ve been doing this for a while and we know the local area quite well. It’s a simple business model: we find out who’s hiring and we tell people who need work. No mission statements or corporate fluff, just the usual grind of trying to get people placed in a job so they can earn their living.
