Pirtala Medicine Center

You can find Pirtala Medicine Center along Baruipur Road in South 24 Parganas. It’s a fairly busy road, so there is always a lot of movement outside our door. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The shop is a simple one, with a lot of wooden shelves that we’ve put up over the years to hold all the medicine. We spend a lot of our time making sure everything is categorized right, although sometimes things get a bit jumbled when we are in a hurry. The floor is just plain cement and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves us well. Most of our customers are from the surrounding area of South 24 Parganas. They come in for all sorts of things, and we do our best to help them out with what’s in stock. We don't have any fancy displays or neon signs. It’s just the name of the shop on a board outside. During the monsoon, the rain can get quite heavy on the roof, making it hard to hear, but we just carry on with the work. We keep a ledger to track what we sell and what we need to order next. It’s a practical way of doing things that has worked for us for a long time. We’re just a local business trying to stay on top of the daily chores. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the paperwork.
