Metro Pharma

Metro Pharma is situated at number 128/1 Bidhan Sarani in the Shyambazar neighborhood. This is one of the busiest parts of the city and there is never a quiet moment. We have been in this building for a long time and the shop has a very old-fashioned feel to it. The wooden counters are worn down from years of use and the shelves reach all the way to the high ceiling. We have to use a very tall ladder to get things down from the top. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside when we have more than a couple of people at the counter. We don't spend any money on marketing or fancy signs because everyone in Shyambazar already knows where we are. Our day is mostly filled with checking lists and talking to the regular customers who stop by. We have a small computer for the billing but we still keep paper receipts for everything. It’s just safer that way. The noise from the trams and the buses on Bidhan Sarani is constant but it feels like the heartbeat of the place. We are a small team of three people and we treat each other like family. We don’t have any grand plans to expand or move. We are happy right here in this little corner of the city. It is a lot of work but it keeps us going.
