Palm Avenue is usually a bit quieter than the main roads nearby, which makes working at No. 8/1- D a nice change of pace. Park Fashion is located right here in this residential pocket. Our shop isn't a massive place, but we have enough room to hang up the latest items and keep the rest in the back. The mornings are usually the best time because it’s cool and we can get a lot of the tidying done before anyone shows up. We don't have a big team of people, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Most of the time, we are just organizing the racks or checking the tags on the clothes. It’s a very straightforward way to earn a living. We see the same neighbors walking their dogs or going to the market every day. It’s nice to be in a spot that feels a bit more relaxed. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or big signs. Instead, we just focus on making sure the clothes are clean and ready to be looked at. Sometimes we sit on the chairs near the window and just watch the rain when the monsoon hits. It’s a steady kind of job, and we are happy to be part of the local scene here. We just take things one day at a time without overcomplicating how the business is run.
