Pabco Engineering Industries

You’ll find Pabco Engineering Industries on the first floor at 138, B.R.B. Basu Road. It’s an old building, and the stairs are a bit steep, but we’ve been here a long time. The street outside is usually full of traffic and noise, which we’ve mostly learned to ignore. Our work is all about engineering parts and pieces that most people never even think about. It’s dirty work sometimes, with oil and metal shavings around the machines. We don’t have a fancy lounge or a coffee machine that does anything special. We just have our tools and the projects we’re currently working on. A lot of our day is spent measuring things and making sure the cuts are right. If something is off by even a tiny bit, we have to do it over, so we try to be careful. We aren't a giant company with a huge board of directors. It’s just us, the workers, trying to get the orders filled. Some days are slow and we spend them cleaning the equipment, and other days we’re working flat out to meet a deadline. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make things out of metal and try to do a decent job of it. It’s been our way of life here on Basu Road for years now. We just show up, open the shutters, and see what the next job on the list brings.
