We run P. K. Saha & Associates from Flat No. 3B at 32/40 Chandi Ghosh Road. That’s in Kolkata - 700 040. It’s an apartment that we turned into an office space. It works well because it’s quiet and we can focus on the accounting work. Most of our day is spent looking at numbers on a screen or checking through paper receipts. As chartered accountants, we have a lot of responsibility to make sure things are accurate. We don't have any fancy decorations. There are just bookshelves full of law books and tax codes. We don’t use corporate talk or make things more complicated than they need to be. If a tax form is simple, we say so. If it’s hard, we explain why. That’s just how we do things. We aren't a huge firm with dozens of employees. It’s a small team, and we know our clients by name. It’s a decent way to earn a living in this city.
