P. D. Fashion

Working out of Shakespeare Sarani keeps us on our toes. P. D. Fashion isn't a massive operation or anything. We just have this one spot at number 25/1. It’s mostly just us and the racks of clothes. The traffic outside can get pretty loud during the busy afternoons. Sometimes we have to shout over the honking just to hear what a customer is saying. It’s a lot of manual work every single day. We spend hours sorting through stock and making sure things are where they belong on the shelves. The lighting in the back isn't the greatest, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We aren't some big brand you see on billboards. We're just regular people who know a thing or two about clothes. It gets dusty, especially with the windows open to catch a bit of a breeze. Cleaning is a never-ending job around here. Most of our regulars live nearby and just drop in when they need something new to wear for a wedding or a local party. We try to keep things simple. There’s no big strategy here, just showing up every morning and opening the shutters. Sometimes we run out of coffee, which is a bit of a disaster for the staff. We’ve had this shop for a good stretch of time now. It’s seen better days, maybe, but it’s our place. We just focus on the clothes and getting through the pile of work on the desk.
