Oriental Carbon & India Limited is based in Duncan House, which sits at 31, Netaji Subhas Road. Our office is situated on the 4th floor. Getting up there usually involves the elevator, which has its good days and bad days. Duncan House is a well-known building in this area, and it has that classic architectural style that you see around Netaji Subhas Road. From the 4th floor, we get a decent view of the street below, which is always packed with people and cars. The office itself is organized but definitely lived-in. We have stacks of files and various departments all working in the same general area. It’s not the quietest place, but we manage to get our work done. Being on the 4th floor gives us a little bit of distance from the street noise, though it still drifts up. We deal with carbon products and have been doing so from this location for quite some time. The staff here is a mix of people who have been around for years and some newer faces. We don't really go for fancy decorations; the walls are mostly covered with charts and calendars. It’s a functional space for a functional business. We find that being at Duncan House puts us in a good position to handle our business affairs efficiently. It feels like a very traditional way to run a company, and that suits us just fine.
