Orchid Medicine Shop

Orchid Medicine Shop is found on the ground floor in Tarulia, along the Krishnapur Main Road. This part of Krishnapur is always moving. The main road has a lot of shops and we are just one of them. Being on the ground floor makes it very accessible for everyone. The shop is not very large, but we have managed to fit a lot of cabinets inside. Every morning, I sweep the floor and wipe the front counter. The traffic outside kicks up a lot of dust, so it is a never-ending task. We have a lot of people who live in the Tarulia area coming to us. They usually bring their prescriptions and we spend time finding the right boxes. It is important to be careful. Sometimes we have to call the doctor to clarify what they wrote. I spend my day between the counter and the shelves. In the evening, the street lights come on and the Krishnapur Main Road gets even busier with people coming back from their offices. That is our peak time. We stay quite busy until we close the shutters. I do not really think about it as a big business. It is just a shop where we help the locals get their medicine. We have been here for a while and the neighbors know us. It is a simple setup with no big advertisements. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked and serving the people who walk in from the road.
