Our office is located at Ab -9/23 in Deshbandhu Nagar, which is a part of the Baguiati neighborhood in Kolkata. It is a residential kind of area, so it feels a little bit quieter than the main commercial roads, which we actually prefer for our daily work. The building is just a standard one like all the others on this street, and our office is just one of the units inside. We work on televentures projects, which mostly means we spend a lot of time talking about technical stuff and managing various systems. The walls inside are mostly bare, maybe with an old calendar or a map hanging up, but it works fine for what we need. We drink a lot of tea while we sit at our desks, and there is usually someone who brings in a bag of snacks to share with the rest of the group. Sometimes when the monsoon rain hits the windows really hard, it gets so loud that we can barely hear each other speaking, but we just keep on going with our tasks. It is not a place where anyone wears a suit; we are much more about being comfortable while we get the day's work finished. The desks stay a bit cluttered with various cables and old notebooks. We know the people living in the building pretty well and often chat with them for a minute on the stairs.
