N.S. Polytechnic College

N.S. Polytechnic College is located at Bk 27 in Kolkata, right in the 700091 area. It is a typical city building, squeezed into a busy part of West Bengal. We have been here for some years, and the walls show a bit of that age. The college is mostly about technical work, so you will see a lot of workshops with tools and machines tucked away in the lower floors. It’s often quite noisy with the sound of students working on their projects. The hallways are narrow and can get crowded when classes change. We don't have a big campus with lawns, just the building and the street outside. Our office is always full of ledgers and technical drawings. Being in Kolkata, we deal with the humidity and the busy pace of life every day. The staff is used to the local commute and the daily grind of keeping a technical college running. We spend a lot of time making sure the lab equipment is still in working order for the next group of students. Sometimes the lights flicker, or we have to wait a while for repairs, but we make do. It is an honest place where people come to learn practical skills. There is no corporate polish here, just concrete rooms and a lot of hard work. People from the neighborhood know us well as the place on Bk 27. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and keeping things functional.
