Nkp Engineers & Iprs Consultants is based at P-720 in New Alipore. This part of New Alipur is quite nice because it has a lot of trees and it isn't as frantic as the center of the city. Our office is a simple setup where we handle engineering work and various consulting tasks. We have a few large desks for our drawings and a couple of computers for the technical side of things. It’s a quiet place for the most part, which is good when you’re trying to double-check a bunch of calculations. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of those corporate perks. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. We spend a lot of our time looking at blueprints or going through thick binders of regulations. Sometimes we have to go out on site, but mostly we are here at P-720. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the neighbors all know us. It’s a small team, so everyone knows what needs to happen without a lot of meetings or emails. We usually have a pot of tea on the go and we take turns going out to get lunch from the local shops. It’s not a high-pressure environment, but we take our engineering work seriously. We prefer to let the quality of our reports and designs speak for themselves rather than doing a lot of talking. It’s a solid way to work.
