Navayug Creation

Navayug Creation is located on the 3rd floor of the Bikaner Building, right on 8/1 Lal Bazar Street. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how crowded and loud it gets outside. We have been in this building for quite some time now. The stairs can be a bit of a climb, especially when it is humid, but once you get up here, it is a bit calmer. Our workspace is filled with different materials and half-finished projects. There are usually scraps of fabric or paper on the floor because we are always in the middle of creating something new. The light coming through the old windows is actually pretty good in the mornings. We aren't a corporate setup with matching uniforms or anything. We just wear what is comfortable and work on what needs to be done for the day. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we just take the stairs and get our exercise. There are a few of us here who have been working together for years, so we don't even have to talk much to know what the other person is thinking. It’s a bit of a cluttered place, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy making things. We have our tea at the same time every afternoon and watch the traffic down on Lal Bazar Street. It is just a regular day for us.
