Narendra Fashion

Narendra Fashion is tucked away in Shyamnagar, Dumdum Park, over in Kolkata. We are on the Shyamnagar Main Road, not too far from the Nager Bazar Pantaloons. If you know that landmark, you can easily find us. The shop has been around for a few years, and it's basically where we spend all our time. We sell different kinds of fashion items, mostly things that local people need for their daily lives. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of variety in stock. There’s always a pile of clothes that needs to be folded back up after someone has gone through them. It feels like we are constantly tidying up the place. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that; everything happens right here on the shop floor. Sometimes the rain in Kolkata makes the shop feel a bit damp, so we have to be careful with the stock. We have a few regulars who stop by just to say hello and see what we’ve got. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. We just show people what’s available and let them take their time. It’s a quiet way to run a business, but it works for us. The walls could probably use some new paint, but we haven't found the time for that yet. We’re just focused on the day-to-day work of keeping the shop open and the racks full.
