Bara Bazar is a world of its own. We are tucked away at 4 C Chetan Seth Street. You have to come up to the 3rd floor to find Nahata Fashion Private Limited. Being in Bara Bazar means you’re in the middle of all the trade. It’s always loud, always crowded, and there’s always someone moving a handcart full of goods. Our place is basically an office and a storage space. We do a lot of wholesale work. It’s not the kind of place where you come for a fancy shopping experience. It’s more about sitting down on the floor cushions, looking at samples, and talking business over a glass of water. We’ve been at this address for years and know all the shortcuts through the narrow lanes. The building is old, and the stairs are narrow, but it has a lot of history. We spend our days tracking shipments and making sure the stock levels are right. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls. Sometimes the mobile signal isn’t great inside the thick walls, so you’ll see us standing near the window trying to get a signal. We don't have any big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to get the orders out on time and keep our customers coming back year after year. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We usually shut down when the market starts to quiet down in the evening, ready to do it all over again tomorrow.
