Orion Impex

Our place is on Nabapally Boys School Road in Nabapally. Since we are right near the school, we hear the kids playing and the bells ringing all day long. It’s a lively neighborhood to work in and there's always some noise. We do impex, so we are part of that whole world of moving goods back and forth across the country. The office isn't anything special, just a place to keep the records and run the computers. We started out small and we’ve stayed that way, which suits us just fine. We know everyone on the road and they know what we do. It’s not like those big glass buildings you see downtown. We have a ceiling fan that clicks and a lot of old files that probably should have been thrown out years ago. Dealing with imports and exports from here is a bit of a challenge sometimes because of the local logistics, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on the phone with agents and drivers who are out on the road. It’s a lot of waiting for things to happen and then rushing when they finally do. We don’t have a mission statement or a fancy website to show off. We just do the work that comes in every day. Most of our time is spent checking tracking numbers and making sure the tax papers are correct. It’s a humble way to make a living, but it’s ours. We just try to be honest and get the packages where they need to go.
