Mutum Chaobisana

This is Mutum Chaobisana. I’m currently set up in Room No. 24 over in the New Block of the Ladies Hostel at Jadavpur University. It's a busy place in Kolkata. Life in the hostel is pretty much what you’d expect. There are always people in the hallways and a lot of noise during the day. I’ve been staying here while handling things. It is not a professional office or a big store, just a small space where I keep my stuff and do my work. Living and working in the same room can be a bit cramped sometimes. You have to get used to the schedule of the university and the way things run around here. The 700032 area is always lively. There are plenty of tea stalls and shops just outside the gates. Most of the time, I’m just busy with the daily routine. People ask why I’m based out of a hostel room, but it’s just where I am right now. It is convenient for being close to everything on campus. I don’t have any big staff or fancy equipment. It’s just me and a desk. Sometimes the internet is slow or the weather in Kolkata gets too humid to move, but we manage. It’s a temporary sort of thing, I suppose, but for now, this is where everything happens. It feels real and grounded, being part of the student energy every single day. I focus on my tasks and try to keep things moving forward as best as I can.
