If you head over to Rani Rashmoni Road, you’ll find us at number 34. We’re up on the 3rd floor. It’s a bit of a climb, but the view of the street isn’t bad from up here. We are right opposite the Sideswari Ashram Hotel. If you can find the Society Cinema Hall, you’re basically there. Mukesh Apparels has been operating from this floor for a good while. We mostly handle clothes and garment manufacturing. It’s a lot of sewing machines and rolls of cloth everywhere you look. The 3rd floor can get quite warm in the afternoons, but we have some old fans that keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We just make solid clothes that people can afford. Most of the guys working here have been with us since we started. We know the neighbors in the building well, and we often share a bit of lunch or some news. It’s a busy environment with the sounds of the machines and people calling out to each other. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. Every bit of space is used for production. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up carrying boxes down the stairs, which keeps us fit I suppose. It’s just honest work in a busy part of the city, and we’re happy to be here doing what we know best. There's always a new pile of fabric waiting for us every Monday morning.
