We are tucked away on the third floor of Anjan Apartments over at 4 Harish Mukherjee Road. If you are looking for Saxena & Company, we are in the space cared for by Ashok Sanghvi. Kolkata-20 is a busy area, and there is always something going on outside on the street. Up here on the third floor, it’s a bit quieter, which helps when we are trying to figure out complicated tax issues. We are chartered accountants, so our days are filled with spreadsheets and tax codes. It’s a lot of focused work. The office feels lived-in. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the smell of old files. We don’t have a big corporate sign or anything. It’s just a place where we do our jobs every day. Some days are slow, and other days everyone is rushing to meet a deadline. We see a lot of different people coming through the door, from small shop owners to bigger companies. Everyone has the same goal—getting their taxes and accounts sorted. We use simple computers and old-fashioned pens. There’s nothing fancy about our setup. We just focus on putting in the hours and making sure the math is right. It’s a small firm, and we like it that way because we know our clients by name. It feels more like a small community than a cold office building. We've been here for years and plan to stay for many more.
