M/S. Petron Civil Engineering

Being based out of Barrackpore is a bit different than the big city offices. Our place is in Sadarbazar, specifically at 57/A, Bazaz Mahal. If you know the West Bengal area, you know Sadarbazar is always crowded and full of life. It’s noisy, dusty, and there’s always someone shouting near the shop fronts. We operate as M/S. Petron Civil Engineering from this spot. It’s an old building, but it serves us well for all the civil work we handle around the state. We spend a lot of time checking on projects and dealing with local laborers. The office is usually stacked with files and old maps that we keep meaning to organize better. Our team is small, mostly locals who have grown up around here. We usually start the day early before the bazaar gets too packed. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We sit on plastic chairs sometimes when we have visitors, and the fans are always on full blast because of the humidity. Barrackpore has that old history feel to it, and being near the river means the air is a bit different, even if the traffic is bad. We just do our engineering work, keep track of the cement and steel, and make sure the jobs get finished. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the neighborhood here. Every afternoon someone goes out to get snacks for everyone to keep us going.
