Working at Ms Global Impex on Safuipara Road means getting used to the local pace. Our office at No. 70 isn’t hard to find if you know the area well. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual export stuff, which mostly involves a lot of back-and-forth emails and checking on trucks. The road outside can get pretty cramped during the middle of the day, so we try to get our loading done early if we can. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and stacks of documents that seem to grow no matter how much we file them away. We aren't a huge operation with hundreds of people, just a small group trying to keep the business running. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with orders to worry about that. We focus on the daily tasks, making sure the labels are correct and the weights are right. It’s a lot of double-checking and sometimes triple-checking because mistakes are a real pain to fix later. We take our lunches together sometimes and talk about anything other than work. It's a regular workplace where everyone knows their role. We don't use big fancy words to describe ourselves because we're just here to do the job. No. 70 Safuipara Road is where you can find us, usually buried under some paperwork or talking on the phone with a transport guy. It's not exciting, but it's our daily life here.
