M.N. Dastur & Company (P) Limited

We are over here in Salt Lake at Ec-92, right in the middle of Sector-1. M.N. Dastur & Company (P) Limited has been around this part of Kolkata for quite some time now. It’s a busy area but our corner stays relatively quiet so we can actually get some work done without too much noise from the street. Most of us take the bus or the metro to get here every morning. The office is basically just a bunch of desks, computers, and a whole lot of files stacked up on the shelves. We deal with engineering stuff and consulting mostly, helping out with big industrial plants and things like that. It is not the kind of job that looks flashy on the outside but it keeps us busy from Monday to Friday. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and you can usually find someone grabbing tea at the shop around the corner in the afternoon when we need a break. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People find us because they know the name and they know we have been doing this for a long time. Kolkata is a tough city sometimes with the rain and the traffic but we like it here. We just try to do a decent job for everyone who walks through the door. It is a simple setup really. No fancy lobby or high-tech gadgets, just people who know what they are doing and a lot of old-fashioned hard work that goes into every single document we produce.
