Mitruka & Associates is based at 32B/1A Haramohan Ghosh Lane. We are a chartered firm, which basically means we spend our lives dealing with other people's money and taxes. Our office is tucked away in a lane, so it’s not on the main road. This makes it a bit quieter, which is good for the kind of thinking we have to do. We don't have any big marketing budgets or fancy signs. Most of our furniture is old but it works just fine. We have rows of files that go back years and years. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful not to trip over things. We handle the usual stuff like audits, tax filings, and accounting advice. It’s a lot of sitting in front of screens and checking columns of numbers. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in Kolkata. We just want to do the work correctly for the people who trust us. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed until a deadline comes up, and then it gets a bit tense. We drink a lot of coffee and tea to stay sharp. If you’re looking for a corporate experience, this isn't it. It’s just a group of people working hard in a small office. We’ve been in this lane for a long time and we know the neighbors well. Everyone knows where we are. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, without any fuss.
