Megan Apparels

We have been operating Megan Apparels out of this small spot at 117A/1 Sarat Ghosh Garden Road in Calcutta for quite some time now. It’s a typical neighborhood area where everyone knows everyone else. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a regular place where we keep the machines and the fabric rolls. The street outside stays pretty busy with rickshaws and people heading toward the garden area. Most days, you’ll find us surrounded by stacks of clothes and bits of thread all over the floor. It gets really humid in this part of Calcutta, so the ceiling fans are almost always clicking away on high. We aren't trying to be some big fancy corporation, we just handle our garment work and try to get things out the door on time. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is around here. The tea stall on the corner usually brings us over a few cups in the morning to get us started. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that, just some local people working with cloth and needles. It is a bit cramped inside when a new shipment arrives, and we have to move stuff around to make space. It’s honest work, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the rhythm of Sarat Ghosh Garden Road over the years. Anyway, that’s mostly what goes on here daily.
