Mechcon Engineering

Mechcon Engineering is located at 39-C, Khudiram Bose Sarani. It’s a busy street with a lot of foot traffic and vehicles passing by all the time. Our building is an older one, but it fits our needs for an engineering workshop. We have been working from this location for quite a while now. The space inside is packed with tools, workbenches, and materials. We do a lot of mechanical engineering work, mostly custom jobs that require a bit of manual skill. It’s not the kind of place where everything is automated. We still rely a lot on the experience of our staff. They’ve been doing this for years and know exactly how to handle the machines. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. There are no polished floors or air-conditioned offices here. It’s just a regular workshop where we put in a full day's labor. The humidity in Kolkata can be pretty rough on the machinery, so we have to stay on top of maintenance. We spend a good amount of time oiling the parts so nothing rusts. Sometimes the street noise outside on Khudiram Bose Sarani is distracting, with all the horns honking, but we just turn up the radio or focus on the task at hand. It’s a very grounded way to work. We are proud of the things we make, even if they aren't glamorous.
