Matrix Engineering & Services

Our office is at 82/9C, Ballygunge Place. If you know the area, you know it’s a lot of narrow streets and old buildings with a lot of character. We’ve tucked ourselves into this space to run Matrix Engineering & Services. It’s not a huge setup, just enough room for our desks, some drafting tables, and the technical manuals we keep around. We do a mix of things here, mostly focusing on the service side of engineering projects. Kolkata is a busy place and Ballygunge is no different, so there is always some noise coming in from the street while we work. We aren't the type to wear suits or have big board meetings. Most of our time is spent on the phone or out visiting sites to see how the work is progressing. The building we are in has been around for a long time, and we like being part of the neighborhood. Sometimes the tea seller downstairs is the most important person in our day when things get stressful. We just try to get the numbers right and make sure the services we provide are solid. It’s a small operation and we handle everything ourselves, from the paperwork to the site visits. It’s lived-in and a bit cramped with all the maps and plans, but it’s where we work best. You just have to find the right door on Ballygunge Place and climb the stairs to find us.
