Maruti Engineering Works

You can find Maruti Engineering Works on the 4th floor of 138 Canning Street. The building is quite old and the lift often breaks down, so be prepared to walk up the stairs if you visit. Canning Street is a very crowded place, full of people and small shops, which makes it a bit chaotic. We have a small office and workshop space where we do precision engineering work. Because we are on a higher floor, we don't have room for any massive machinery. Instead, we focus on smaller parts that require a lot of detail and a steady hand. The workspace is a bit cramped with blueprints, tools, and metal scraps everywhere. We don't have a fancy view or a modern office setup. My grandfather started this business when the area was much different, and we’ve just stayed here ever since. We don't do any marketing or have a sales team. Most people find us through word of mouth when they need something specific repaired or manufactured. We usually get our tea from the same vendor on the street level every afternoon. It’s a very old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We know our regulars by their first names and we just keep working on our lathes until the job is done for the day.
