You’ll find Mannyata Apparels on the ground floor of No. 45 A Hariram Goenka Street. We’re right near Hollywood Dry Clean, which is a good landmark if you’re lost. The shop isn't very large, but we’ve made the most of the space we have. It’s a busy area, and there’s always something happening right outside our door. We mostly deal with ready-made garments. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and sometimes we have to move three things just to get to one. It’s a bit of a workout every day. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have been together for a while now. We know the regulars who walk by every morning and wave. The floor is old tile and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We keep a small radio playing in the corner to break the silence during the quiet hours. We don’t go for all the modern marketing tricks. We just put our items out and talk to anyone who comes in. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the heavy traffic on Hariram Goenka Street, but we just take it as it comes. It’s a practical way to run a business. We aren't looking to expand into some giant warehouse, we like being right here on the ground floor where we can see the street and be part of the neighborhood.
