Mam Garments

Our office is on the 4th floor of House-411, on Road-29 in the New DOHS area of Mohakhali, Dhaka. It’s a busy part of the city. Mam Garments is a small business where we handle clothing orders and production stuff. Being on the 4th floor means we get a bit of a view, but it also means a lot of stairs if the elevator is acting up. Dhaka is a fast-paced place, and Mohakhali is right in the middle of it. We spend most of our time talking to suppliers and checking the quality of the garments. It’s a lot of phone calls and paperwork. The office isn't anything special—just desks, some sample racks, and boxes waiting to be shipped. We don't have a corporate structure with managers and directors. We all just do a bit of everything. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when a big order is due, and we’re all tripping over boxes. The New DOHS area is a bit more organized than other parts of Dhaka, which is nice. We started this because we knew the garment industry and wanted to try it on our own. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes things don't go as planned. But we keep at it. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just want to get the clothes made and sent out on time. That’s our daily life here at Mam Garments in Mohakhali, trying to get things done.
