London Fashion King

London Fashion King is located at No. 317/A/4 BB Chatterjee Street in the Ballygunge Kasba area. The name sounds a bit grand, but we are just a normal clothing store on a very busy street. There are always buses and rickshaws going past the door, making a lot of noise. We have a long, narrow shop that goes back quite a way into the building. To make it feel a bit more open, we put mirrors on the walls, but it still feels a bit tight when we have more than two or three people inside. Most of the people who shop here live in the nearby flats and just drop in while they are out running errands. We keep a mix of jeans and shirts and whatever else people are asking for these days. We don't have a computer system, so everything is written down by hand in a big red notebook. Sometimes my hands are covered in blue ink by the time we close up for the night. The lighting inside is just regular tube lights, and the back corner is always a little bit dark, but we know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of time dusting the racks because the road outside is so busy. It is a steady life, and we like being part of the Ballygunge neighborhood. We just open up every morning and see who comes through the door.
