We are way up on the 12th floor of Tower 2 in the Godrej Waterside Building. It’s a big glass tower in Salt Lake City Sector 5, right near College More. Being up this high gives us a pretty wide view of the city, which is probably the best part of the office. The building itself is quite modern, but our specific floor is usually cluttered with the usual office stuff like stacks of paper, half-empty coffee mugs, and loose cables. We spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work at the same time. The area around College More is always buzzing with people and traffic, so it’s a relief to get up to the quiet of the 12th floor. Our space in Block DP is partitioned into different sections, but we mostly just wander between desks to talk about what needs doing. It can get a bit cold with the air conditioning running all day, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls, just a few calendars and some project schedules. It’s a typical office routine where we focus on the technical side of things and try to get home before the evening rush hour hits the streets below. It’s a busy place but we’ve found our way of making it work.
