We are Linc Pen & Plastics Ltd., and we’ve been making pens for quite some time now. Our daily routine is mostly about checking machines and making sure the ink flows right. It’s a lot of plastic and small parts moving around all day. The factory floor is loud, and the office side isn't much quieter with people constantly checking inventory levels. We don't really do the whole fancy corporate thing. Most of us wear regular clothes and just focus on the task at hand. There are boxes of pens stacked everywhere, from ballpoints to gels, and sometimes it feels like we’re drowning in stationery. We started out small, just trying to make something that people could use every day without it breaking or leaking. Now we make a lot more, but the process is still pretty much the same. It takes a lot of patience to get the nibs just right. We have long meetings about things like ink colors and clip designs, which might sound boring to some, but it's what we do. We don't have a fancy story to tell. We just show up, run the machines, pack the orders, and send them out to the shops. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Everyone knows their job, so things usually run okay. Sometimes a machine jams and we all have to pitch in to fix it, but that's part of the job.
