We don't have a modern open-plan office; it’s more like a series of rooms where different people are focusing on different clients. The atmosphere is quiet, mostly just the sound of typing or people talking on the phone. We don't dress up in expensive suits unless we really have to; mostly it’s just comfortable clothes for a long day of work. The windows look out onto the street, and we watch the city go by while we’re figuring out tax calculations. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't make big promises or use complicated words to describe what we do. We just help people with their financial records and make sure they’re following the rules. Sometimes the monsoon rain hits the window glass so hard we can't hear each other, but the work doesn't stop.
