If you find yourself in the Newtown area of Kolkata, you might come across us at the DLF IT Park. Larsen Toubro Ltd occupies space on the 2nd Floor of Tower-C. This part of Rajarhat is always changing, with new buildings going up all the time. It’s a busy place to work. There are always people waiting for the elevators and the lobby is usually crowded in the morning. Our office is just one of many in this big complex. Inside, it’s a lot of desks and people on the phone or typing away. It has that typical IT park feel, but we try to keep things grounded. The air conditioning is always on because Kolkata humidity is no joke. From the second floor, you can see some of the traffic on the main road below. We have a small pantry where people make their tea and talk about the weekend. It’s a very standard office environment, nothing fancy or over the top. We just focus on our tasks and try to keep up with the pace of Rajarhat. The commute can be long for some of us, coming from different parts of the city. We have our routine and it works. Tower-C is easy to find once you get into the DLF campus. It’s just a place where we put in our hours and get the work done day after day. No one is trying to be a hero, just doing the shift until it's time to head home to our families.
