Down in Kolkata, we have our spot on Das Para Road, specifically at 445A in the Thakurpukur area. It’s a busy part of the city, especially during the morning rush when everyone is trying to get somewhere at once. The office is where we coordinate the ECCD tasks for this part of West Bengal. It’s an honest, working-class neighborhood, and our building fits right in with the rest of the street. We’ve got a couple of rooms where the desks are crammed with folders, blueprints, and a few old computers. The humidity in Kolkata can be a bit much, especially in the monsoon, so the fan is always running on high. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights outside. It’s just a standard door on a regular road that most people pass by without noticing. Most of the staff here have been with the company for a good few years and they know the local area like the back of their hand. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day, which helps keep everyone going when the workload piles up. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, but we manage to send off our reports eventually. It’s a very grounded way to work. You won't find any corporate talk being thrown around here; we just talk about what needs to be finished by the end of the week. There is always a stack of paperwork to get through, but we handle it one page at a time.
