Larsen & Toubro Limited (Ecc-Division)

We're based in Titagarh, right on R.P. Gupta Path. Most people know the spot because of the late Laxman Shaw’s house. It’s not a modern glass building or anything. It's just an old-school office in a busy part of Kolkata. We handle the ECC-Division work from here. The street outside is always noisy with people and rickshaws going by. Sometimes the trains from the station nearby add to the racket. We’ve got a small team here. Our desks are a bit crowded with papers and old files, but we know where everything is. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy to worry about that. On rainy days, the lane outside gets a bit muddy, so you have to watch your step. We usually get our tea from a stall just down the road. It’s a very local atmosphere. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. You just walk in and find whoever is available. We've been here for a while and the neighbors know us well enough. It’s a practical place to work, even if it feels a bit cramped sometimes. We focus on getting the day’s work done without making a big deal out of it. It’s just how things are in this part of West Bengal. We keep the fans running all day to deal with the humidity. It is a simple setup for a hard-working crew.
