Kalamati Tea Processing Private Limited

We are located at Paras Niwas in the Punjabi Para area of Siliguri. Our house number is a bit long, 245/366/350/2/N, which usually confuses the delivery drivers when they first come by. Kalamati Tea Processing Private Limited is right in the heart of the tea country here in Darjiling. Siliguri is always bustling with tea trade and we are right in the thick of it. We process tea leaves that come in from the nearby gardens. It’s a dusty job and the smell of tea is everywhere in our workspace. We aren't some big multinational; we are just local folks who understand how tea needs to be handled. The machinery hums all day long and we have to shout over it sometimes to hear each other. Punjabi Para is a lively neighborhood to be in. We don't have a slick website or a marketing team telling us what to say. We just look at the leaves and make sure the processing is done the way it should be. It’s practical work. Some days the electricity cuts out and we have to wait around, but that’s just life in West Bengal. We just focus on getting the job done without any extra fluff. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in tea dust and drinking a cup of the very stuff we are working on. It is a lot of hours but we enjoy the routine of it all.
