Jucofabs

We are over at 4-D, Dr. Amal Roy Chowdhury Lane. It is one of those spots where you have to know where you are going or you might just walk past the entrance. We have been here for a while now, focusing on jute and fabrics, hence the name Jucofabs. The lane gets a bit narrow when the delivery trucks come through, but that is just part of the daily routine for us. Inside, it is mostly rolls of material and the sound of people getting orders ready. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Some of the staff have been coming to this same spot for years. You find a way to make the space work for you. Most days start early with a cup of tea while we look at the list of what needs to go out. The building has that old Kolkata feel to it, thick walls and high ceilings that keep things a bit cooler in the summer. We handle a lot of different orders, some big and some small, but we try to keep it organized even when things get hectic. It isn't a quiet place, especially when the machines are running or when someone is shouting across the floor to check on a stock count. We just stay busy and keep the work moving out the door to the people who need it. It works for us.
