Indian Rain

Indian Rain is based out of a ground floor spot at Cd-105 in Sector-I of Salt Lake City. It’s a residential-turned-commercial kind of area, so it feels a bit more like a home than an office building. We like it that way. There’s a small garden patch out front that we try to keep alive. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and shelves filled with our products. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to stay organized. Being in Salt Lake is nice because it’s a bit more planned out than the rest of Kolkata, though the streets still get flooded when it rains heavily. We spend our days answering the phone and packing up orders to go out. It’s a quiet operation for the most part. We aren't shouting or running around. We just do our work steadily. We started this because we wanted to offer something simple and honest. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad, which is a blessing in this city. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps for a bit just to get some air. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If the bell rings, whoever is closest goes to the door. We just want to do our jobs well and keep the business moving forward without any unnecessary drama. The neighborhood kids sometimes play cricket in the lane outside. We’ve had to ask them to be careful of the windows.
