Up here on the fifth floor of Berger House, things feel a bit removed from the noise of Park Street. You take the lift up and it’s a different world from the shops downstairs. We’ve been at 129 Park Street for quite some time. The office is full of old desks and the smell of rubber samples that we keep around. Being India Tyre & Rubber means we spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at inventory lists. It’s a bit of a hike if the elevator is acting up, which happens sometimes. We look out the windows at the city while we drink our morning coffee. It’s a solid old building. We aren't doing anything flashy here. We just handle the business of rubber and tyres like we always have. The staff here has been around for ages, so we all know each other’s habits. We don't have a big glossy reception area or anything like that. It’s just desks, phones, and people working. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to check on or a shipment to track. It’s a steady kind of life. We like being in this part of town because everything is close by, even if the traffic is a nightmare during rush hour. It’s just a normal workplace where we get through the day's tasks. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on Park Street while we stayed, and it feels like a second home to us.
