India Gate

India Gate is located at number 69 in India House, which is right on Ganesh Chandra Avenue in the Dharmatala area of Kolkata. It’s a big old building, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. Dharmatala is always bustling, and the street outside is usually full of yellow taxis and people rushing to work. Our space inside India House isn't anything fancy. We have our desks and our equipment, and we just get on with our daily tasks. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned setup, with high ceilings and walls that could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We don’t have a lot of corporate rules or polished ways of talking. It’s just us working here. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, so we take the stairs. Being in this part of Kolkata means we are right in the thick of things. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on Ganesh Chandra Avenue, but we’ve managed to stay put at 700013. We don't spend time writing mission statements or stuff like that. We just focus on the work that needs doing today. It’s a practical way of running things. If you ever find yourself in the India House building, you can just walk in and find us. We’re just regular people trying to do a good day’s work in a busy city. It's often humid, but the old fans keep us going well enough.
