Our branch is situated at 28/47 Barisha Purbopara in the Thakurpukur area of Kolkata. It is a local office where we deal with insurance and financial stuff for the people living nearby. We aren't in one of those huge city center buildings, which is nice because it feels more like a part of the neighborhood. People stop in to pay their premiums or ask questions about their policies. The office has that classic feel with desks pushed together and lots of ledgers and documents stacked up. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days it can get a bit messy with all the paperwork. Most of us have been working here for quite some time, so we know many of the regulars who come through the door. We spend a lot of our time explaining things in simple terms because insurance can be confusing for people. It is a quiet street for the most part, except for the occasional delivery or local festival. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just the basic stuff to get through the work day. We share snacks in the afternoon and talk about how the city is changing. It is a steady job and we take it seriously, even if the office feels a bit old-fashioned compared to the newer branches. We are just here to help the local folks manage their money and plan for the future without any fuss.
