Ica Shine

Our place is located at 74 B.K. Paul Avenue in Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of history and very narrow streets at times. Ica Shine is basically a spot where we focus on training and helping people get better at what they do. We’ve been in this building for a while. It has high ceilings and that old Kolkata feel to it. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We see a lot of students and young people coming in and out every day. They are usually looking to learn something new to help with their careers. We don’t have a massive budget for fancy decorations, so the walls are mostly covered with schedules and notes. It’s a practical space. B.K. Paul Avenue is always buzzing with people and traffic. Sometimes it’s hard to hear yourself think when the horns start honking outside, but you get used to it. We aren't a big corporate entity. We are just a local team trying to provide some useful skills to the community. Most of us take the bus or the metro to get here. It’s a straightforward operation. We open the doors early and stay until the last person finishes their work. There’s no mystery to it. We just provide a place for people to come and learn in an environment that feels familiar and local to them.
