Our office is tucked away at 16 Haripada Dutta Lane. It’s a quiet enough street in Kolkata, and we’ve been based here for some time now. Ibm, Kolkata isn’t a huge operation with hundreds of people running around in suits. It’s just a handful of us in a regular building. You can find us by looking for the house number 16. It’s near the corner where people usually stand around and talk in the evenings. The 700033 area is pretty familiar to most of the locals around here. Inside, it’s mostly just computers and some old wooden furniture that has seen better days. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or how the lobby looks. Honestly, we just come in, get our coffee, and start working on the tasks for the day. The lane is narrow, so parking a car can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but we make it work. It’s nice being away from the main traffic noise of the big city roads. We have a small window that lets in some light, which helps when things get slow. We are not trying to be the biggest or flashiest place in town. We just want to do our job and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a practical setup for people who just want to get things done without any extra fuss or nonsense. We’ve been here long enough that the place feels like home.
