Our office is at CF-35 in Sector 1 of Salt Lake in Kolkata. The zip code is 700064. Salt Lake is a planned area, so the blocks are laid out in a way that makes sense, but it still takes people a while to find CF-35 if they aren't from around here. We work in the telecom sector, so our days are filled with technical talk and managing connections. The office itself is quite plain. We have some sturdy desks and a few old computers that still work just fine for what we need. There are wires and cables tucked away in the corners, which is expected for this kind of work. The building is not new, and you can tell by the way the paint looks in some spots. We don't mind it because it feels lived-in and comfortable. Outside, there are some trees and the roads are usually cleared of too much rubbish. We often see the local tea seller doing his rounds in the morning with his metal kettle. It is a calm part of the city compared to the center of Kolkata. We just sit here and do our jobs, answering calls and fixing whatever issues come up on the network side. There is no big corporate lobby or a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and see us working at our stations. It is a very down-to-earth place where we focus on the task at hand and get through the day together.
