If you are looking for us, we are tucked away in the Sampa Mirza Nagar Housing Estate. Specifically, it’s Block-R, Flat-7, near the Sarkarpool area in Maheshtala. Kolkata is a huge city, but this part feels a bit more like a real neighborhood. We go by Hr Recruiter -Recruitment, which is a bit of a repetitive name, but it says what we do. We aren't some big agency in a glass skyscraper. It’s a flat that we’ve turned into an office space. It gets the job done. We spend a lot of time talking to people from all over West Bengal who are looking for a break. Hiring is a messy business sometimes. People don't show up for interviews or the requirements change at the last minute. We just deal with it as it comes. There’s always a stack of folders on the desk and someone is usually on a mobile phone trying to track down a candidate. We like the local feel here. You can hear the sounds of the estate while we work. It’s honest work, finding people for roles. We don't have any scripted speeches. We just talk to people like they are people. Sometimes we take a break to walk down the stairs and get some fresh air. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and we know the local job market pretty well by now.
