Hindusthan Engineering & Industries Ltd. is located at 2, Debendra Ghosh Road. We are right in the Bhowanipore area of Kolkata which is a place with a lot of character. The post office is nearby which is handy for our mail. Our building is an old one and it has those high ceilings you find in this part of the city. It gets a bit cold in the winter months but we manage. We have been working out of this 700025 address for quite some time now. The street outside is always full of people walking to the metro or grabbing something to eat. We have a few rooms filled with drawings and technical papers. It is not the most organized looking place but we know where everything is. We don't have a big sign with lights or anything flashy. Just the name on the door so people know they are in the right place. Most of our day is spent talking to people or checking on projects. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It keeps us going during the long afternoons. If you come by you might see us sitting around the big wooden table we've had since the start. There is no corporate vibe here. It is just a local business doing its daily work in a busy part of town. Bhowanipore is a good place to be and we like it here. We don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
