Harakchand Kantimal Bothra

Our office is located at 38, Armenian Street, tucked into one of those older buildings that has seen a lot of history. Harakchand Kantimal Bothra is a family name, and we have kept it that way because it represents who we are. It is a bit of a mouthful for some people, but it is on the door. We do not have a lot of staff running around with clipboards. Usually, it is just me and a cousin or two sitting at the old wooden desks. We spend a lot of time on the telephone or writing out notes by hand because that is how we have always managed things. The neighborhood is very crowded, so it is usually easier to walk here than to try and drive a car through the narrow lanes. We have a ceiling fan that has been wobbling for years, but it keeps the air moving while we go through our daily paperwork. Most of our visitors are people we have known for decades. We sit, have a glass of water or some tea, and talk about what needs to be done. It is a slow way of doing business compared to the big offices in the city, but it works for us. We do not have a glossy brochure or anything like that. We just focus on the trades and the people who rely on us to stay honest and practical.
