Haque Traders

Living and working near Abdul Halim Lane means dealing with a lot of noise and people all the time. Haque Traders is right there at 8/2-B, not far from the Missionary Of Charity. It’s a busy spot near AGC Bose Road and the traffic never really seems to stop. Our shop is filled with all sorts of items we’ve gathered over time. We spend a lot of our mornings checking lists and making sure we didn't run out of anything important. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit as much as possible on the shelves. Sometimes you have to turn sideways just to get down the aisle. It isn't a modern showroom or anything like that. It’s just a regular trading spot where we handle whatever comes our way. We know most of the people who walk by every day. The light inside isn’t the brightest, but we know where everything is kept, even in the dark corners. We get a lot of deliveries throughout the week and that usually means boxes piled up on the sidewalk for a bit until we can move them inside. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door open to get whatever breeze comes through the lane. It’s a simple life here, just managing the stock and talking to whoever drops in for supplies around Abdul Halim Lane.
