Our office is on the 4th floor, Flat 4C, at 21 Souren Roy Road in Kolkata. It is a typical city building with people coming and going. We deal with food and beverages. It is a lot of planning and coordinating every single day. The flat is not huge, so we have to be smart with how we use the floor space. There are desks squeezed in and a small area where we keep all our samples. We spend our days talking to vendors and trying to figure out the best way to get things distributed. The traffic on Souren Roy Road can be pretty loud during the day, but we are high enough up that it is mostly just a background hum. We are not some giant corporation with a thousand employees. It is just a handful of us trying to make a living. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait to send our emails. We usually eat our lunch together at a small table in the corner. It is a very grounded way of working. We do not have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just focus on the products we handle. Whether it is a new drink or a snack, we usually test it ourselves first. We like being in this part of West Bengal. It has a good energy to it. Most days we are just busy with the small details that keep a business running.
